How often do you see a cartoon revisit a retro version of itself? That’s so meta! Reply novascottch on September 16, 2011 at 12:22 am Oh my god, I didn’t notice! How clever ;D Reply theo001 on September 17, 2011 at 6:36 pm So true. Reply Jkun on October 26, 2011 at 6:09 am Well, true, if anything aside from the eyes had changed, haha :p Reply DanShive on September 16, 2011 at 12:08 am I’m going to assume that making Bug’s eyes in the thought bubble look more like the eyes in the earliest Bug comics was an entirely intentional and clever decision. Reply MTGG on September 16, 2011 at 1:32 am Just click on first and you’ll see the original bug hun Reply DanShive on September 16, 2011 at 11:35 am Or I could just look at the logo. Reply novascottch on September 16, 2011 at 12:21 am “Der” XD Reply novascottch on September 16, 2011 at 12:23 am I would also just like to add that I doodled bug in my notes the other day and one of my peers looked over and was like, “Cool, you read Bug too?!” Just thought I’d clue you in on know how many people appreciate your awesomeness. Reply Adam on September 16, 2011 at 7:46 am Now that is awesome! Reply Joreal on September 18, 2011 at 3:46 am So now I’m looking at your avatar and realizing it has the same small eyes the original Bugs had. I’ve never really noticed it until now. Reply ninelen on September 16, 2011 at 12:43 am Referring back to the early days of the comic is definitely nine kinds of great, at least. Reply Frances on September 16, 2011 at 4:23 am Yay, Retro Bug! And also a warm welcome for Unintentional-Terrorist Bug 😀 Reply Lorenzo on September 16, 2011 at 4:43 am Dang, I was happier before I knew this Reply Greyman1995 on September 16, 2011 at 5:30 am Nerd bug! behind you! (.)(.) -eyes Reply Dave Dell on September 16, 2011 at 7:19 am Ah the good old days when bliss was an unhooked bra. Reply Col Klink on March 31, 2013 at 8:55 pm What you mean “old”, kemo sobby? That is still bliss, because the entertainment has begun. Reply Deen on September 16, 2011 at 9:30 am Love it! Especially panel 3, which I know will have me spontaneously giggling all day. Reply Jeff on September 16, 2011 at 9:36 am The Original Bug in the thought bubble made me reminiscent for the first comics. So I went back. I’d forgotten how awesome this comic was right from the start. Check out comic #4…the “lion” has a bug head. Gawrsh I love this comic strip! I look forward to it every single day. Of course…now I’m sad ‘cuz I have to wait until Monday to get my next “fix”. Reply That Chick on September 16, 2011 at 10:17 am Love it! Especially love the zoom in to Bug on the first panel. Reply chzbrgrmachne on September 16, 2011 at 11:43 am derpy bug. XD ahahahaha Reply Supurbia on September 16, 2011 at 2:43 pm I did see Oldstyle!Bug in the last panel and thought I had clicked “first” on accident. Reply LrD on September 16, 2011 at 2:51 pm officially your best comic yet, aside from the cat schedule one. Reply MrSnow on September 16, 2011 at 3:02 pm thats a good way to go about it Reply NeverSerious on September 16, 2011 at 3:31 pm This comic should have ran last Sunday, when everyone was thinking about terrorists (at least everyone in the US) Reply surtursbane on September 16, 2011 at 4:10 pm Egads! It’s Osama bug Laden!! Reply AMooseInAHummer on September 16, 2011 at 8:49 pm Bug’s eyes in pannel 3 when looking at his AK-47 made me think of Looney Toons for some reason. Reply ninelen on September 17, 2011 at 1:07 am I keep forgetting this comic is only 5 days a week. Damn it. Reply Jeff on September 17, 2011 at 2:50 am I think “Der” should be what they put on my gravestone…along with a picture of Bug if Adam doesn’t go the Bill Watterson route and allows his comic characters to be licensed. Adam? Any plans on licensing? Not that I’m planning on dying any time soon, but best to get this out in the open now, eh? Reply Submit a Comment Cancel reply Your email address will not be published.
