I can relate to the first panel of this strip. I’ll be in the middle of a conversation, and all of a sudden my mind goes on a(n almost) completely unrelated tangent.
The last panel, not so much. I’ve never gone on a tanget far enough to be completely oblivious to a simple request like that.
I am pretty convinced that even the worst ninja will be able to kill you, bring you back to life and kill you again before you realized he was even there.
Speaking of tangents, a previous comic had a ninja sticking in a corner like a spider. I recall my schoolmates (we’re talking the 80’s) already referring to this ability that ninjas supposedly have. So I went googling. Found nothing except references to RPG’s. Help! Is it a myth? Is it real? Was there a now obscure 70’s ninja flick that planted it? I’m stumped.
What most people assume is ninja garb is in fact the traditional attire of stagehands in Japanese theater. There is jo real way of knowing what is a myth and what is real where ninjas are involved.

I’d guess that the derpy ones flunk out of Ninja College, so anybody who actually becomes an official ninja could probably take out a cartoonist.

One of my sons did some training with nunchucks in karate. You do not fail nunchucks. You hurt. When you stop hurting, you have learned nunchucks.
