I have this problem at work as well (daycare). Luckily I have a manly counterpart to break out the daycare voice when my attempts aren’t making headway. 😀

It’s all about the hands in this strip. Son bug in panel four is brilliant. The eyes are exceptionally done as well. As always Adam, I am amazed how the smallest nuances in your drawings can deliver a visual plethora of funny.

I don’t have this problem. Children take one look at me at start smiling and giggling uncontrollably, and all misbehaviour is forgotten.

Though I should perhaps be concerned as to WHY kids have this reaction…

Perhaps it makes you look a psychopath? I know I’d be good if that’s what happened.

My dad’s method of discipline during my nephew’s temper tantrums (which were legendary in the sheer volume) was to simply ignore him. When other people asked him how he could stand all the screaming and crying, he simply said, “what?” He had managed a zen-state where he no longer heard the temper tantrum. Oh how I envy him.

Ah, to achieve that talent. My best friend can do that with three screaming toddlers while reading a book and still knows what they are doing. I asked her to raise mine but she keeps refusing for some reason….

I am able to control other people’s children with a look too. I don’t have any of my own yet, and I hope that the look doesn’t expire by the time I have them. It also works on my nieces/nephews, so huzzah!

Niece bug is adorable! She’s 2 pigtails of spunky cuteness. May we see more of her please, Adam?

“That IS sound logic…”? Just wondering, did you mean “That DOES sound logic…”, or am I missing something? Is sound logic a brand of some sort?

Sound logic, as in “That logic is sound.”
Sound here is used to mean “solid”, as in “has no holes” or “is not weak”.
AKA, he’s saying that her logic is not weak logic. … He’s saying her statement makes sense. 🙂

Oh yeah and I totally know what toy it is that Niece Bug is carrying. I loved that thing when I was younger. You crank the lever on the side and where ever it lands it spews out some song or learning opportunity. I can’t remember the name of it though. Do they still make those things??

or possibly See ‘N’ Say. I think the point of it was to get kids addicted to roulette-wheel style gambling at an early age!

My Dad is the same way, can demand obedience with just a look. One such time I remember quite well was when he took Little Brother around the block for Halloween, and got into the spirit by making his face look like a skull, which, of course, enhanced The Look into epic proportions.

Howdy! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this website?
I’m getting sick and tired of WordPress because I’ve had problems with
hackers and I’m looking at alternatives for another platform.

I would be great if you could point me in the direction of a
    good platform.
