Bear mace? you forgot the anti-velociraptor-spray!

No spray is a match for a velociraptor, nothing phases them.

Wonderful I can spell velociraptor, but I can use fazes correctly.

I’m sure you meant “phase” as in; distort it’s reality…
Right? That’s what I’m going for.

Not true, wizard hats work wonderfully against them, though the outcome will confuse and put off the uninitiated.

And don’t forget the stick to make the anti-sea bear circle! Or your sea-rhino underwear!

Hey I love this process – is how my intention of getting a light wind breaker jacket turned into a full length oilskin jacket that you can walk through a monsoon in.

Aw man. I came in here hoping to see a strip about liquid flooring >:(
You should definitely get whatever the good people at the NM catalog (Neiman Marcus? Nucular Manliness?) tell you you need; They know best. But why stop at bear mace when you can get a bear-proof coat? youtu.be/Q3CzYw5-qdA

Funny, I just ordered the LL Bean catalog for a similar reason.

Yeah, that’s me all right. I’d spend hours browsing through jackets, carefully weighing up their waterproof vs breathability factors. Of course it has to be GoreTex and have a dozen pockets of which I only end up using two at most. And most days all it has to do is protect me during my 20 second walk to the car.

Apparently, you just need to move to some place like AK. A place to keep bear repellant is pretty much required!

As someone who is about to buy a new winter coat myself I understand that problem pretty good.
I mean given the choice “paper vest” and “arctic parka” who the hell would settle for the worse? That’s like saying “I need a waterproof torch but 1 metre is enough, who the hell needs 10?”… you never know, better be prepared!

And then there’s the whole “Vest” argument. It’s wonderful for keeping you warm…except for your arms? What do you have against your arms? Why do THEY have to be cold? What did THEY do to piss you off? I will never understand a down-filled vest. A thin vest like they wear in Westerns…maybe. You need to have freedom of movement for all those gunfights you’re bound to get in…but a parka with the arms cut off? Nuh-uh. Don’t understand it.
Uh…good comic by the way. But now I have to wait until Monday to get another “fix”. Have a great weekend!

Sad thing is, I’ve had this happen. “I need a simple jacket. Oh, an army-navy-surplus store, I can get something cheap..” *walks out looking like a wannabe Special operations soldier* … Dammit.
