Actually I think that puzzling together can be rather romantic, especially since it appeals to the often female prototype of a working relationship to be “putting things together”.

My ex didn’t wear clothes I actually used all that often, with the size difference, when she asked for some of my clothes, I had to dig out things I hadn’t worn since middle school. (I’m a large guy, she was a tiny woman).
