Why wouldn’t he? He’s known people who can’t use the Force, and he didn’t even know he could until Obi-Wan showed him.

Porkins must be teaching as a Force Ghost himself after Episode V.
I’da gone with General Pharl (ret) as a fitting tribute 😉

Yeah, that’s the truly sad bit. It went from anyone being able to use the force if properly trained to those with the genetic disposition for it. The royal family of TK

I don’t think it was ever “anyone could use the force”; I always thought that there were some people who were naturally particularly good at feeling or using it, but most people had no sense of it. I also got the feeling that many people (especially in Luke’s generation) used the phrase “the force” almost like we use the word “luck”. I was frustrated that, at one point, there was an apparently reliable, scientific, test for who would be able to sense and use the force, and the technology was lost, so the whole thing descended into mysticism.

Heh, I’m currently watching Return of the Jedi, great timing for this strip.

As for Porkins, yeah, I wouldn’t want him as a teacher. Aside from being dead, it’s a well-known fact that he is unable to hold it. Personally, I’d be hoping for Wedge.

Sorry about that. The site has been sluggish since we attempted to move it to a new web host. I’m looking into fixing the problem.

Wedge would be my “rogue” of choice.
If we go into the Rogue series a bit then Coran Horn.
But if we’re basing off the Red Squadron then……. Biggs Darklighter. He had a mustache even Burt Renolds would be impressed by

An awesome Bug Star Wars comic AND a Biggs reference in the comments. And someone mentioned the Rogues books. This is an awesome week.

A.) Even if you overlook the great lines in this one, Luke Bug’s hair is amazing! I was in a really crap mood seconds before I loaded your site. Thanks so much for such a great mood lift!

B.) The sluggishness was also noticeable for me, till I turned off Java and the problem was solved, so, may just be the host using bad scripting or such.

I’m noticing it on my end too. I’m currently talking to a guy who I’m hoping to hire to help with my website problems. With any luck, These loading issues will be taken care of by Monday.

I’d like Wedge Antilles as my teacher. Only guy I’d trust to do it well. And Luke knows not everyone has the ability to use the force. Plus, he WAS a young rebel pilot, he wasn’t teaching anyone else.

Man, so much love for Professor Antilles.

Look, I love Wedge as much as the next guy, but you know he’d be a real ball-buster of a teacher and . Porkins, on the other hand, would be much more laid back and probably show a lot of movies.
