A sock and quarters? Brilliant, they’ll never see it coming.

A sock and some quarters is all a real supervillain needs to kidnap a nation.

I see it as referencing the [in]famous “Half Brick in a Sock” which in the hands of an incredibly cowardly incompetent wizzard can be used to hold off eldritch abominations.

I love “Coffee Shop” Bug’s scruffy goatee and knit cap. How Portlandia is that?

Same here, had to look it up on youtube to find it, and by the look of the commercial you would have to be at least 30 to know what it is.

I’m 28, and I knew what it was. Pretty common commercial, even in the 80s.

Probably. I’m 32, and I remember that. The robot and everything.

It figures you’d have a piece of fruit on your laptop lid to be planning your nefarious deeds. And I like Toby’s new look

I always loved how the hideout was clearly labeled as such. The Andre The Giant version was the best. Ever. youtu.be/uz1AWn0EBl0

And once again, you make me cross my legs involuntarily in P4

Ten years ago, i’d say “Please! Take Brazil!” But these days, if someone tried such a thing, our president would eat the poor sod’s liver with onions… ripped by her own bare hands.

Honeycomb…I ate that crap. Do they even make it anymore? God I feel old. Of course, any Honeycomb Hideout/Evil Lair would still be vulnerable to The Koolade Guy, “OH YEAH!!!!!!!!!!”

Yeah, it’s still being made. Though it doesn’t take like it did pre-2005 or so. (It was made ‘healthier’….)

The Honeycomb Hideout is what the Kool-Aid pitcher bursts into, right? And then he mows them all down with his Uzi?

Like a friend of mine casualy said at an underground trainstation:
“If you blow up both ends of this tunnel, you’d have a pretty good lair.”

The rest of us agreed with him.

To get the babes up to my lair, I let them know there’s always room for a “Mrs. Unibomber.”

I thought it was one of the disappointing comics that wouldn’t get a literal smile out of me until the last panel – his multitasking at the laundromat brought out that smirk 😀
