That’s a pretty nice face-peeling knife. Makes very clean cuts.

Dunno about childproof, but I always said we should get rid of all the labels warning about things that should be completely obvious, and let the problem solve itself.

You wouldn’t happen to be on the TSW forums would you? I remember awhile ago having a conversation with someone on there where they mentioned the same thing…hmm.

It’s pulled from something, but I can’t quite remember what.
My mind goes to QI and Rich Hall but my mind is always on QI so it might be unrelated.

If they only put the child-proof lids on products that needed them. Like Drano or similar. But on Baby-oil! What baby can even open a regular lid??? Never mind they need to know how to hold the bottle in the first place.. and while the caretaker wrestles with the lid the little tyke falls off the changing table..

Some babies can (my niece was better at it than any of us). And they can also douse an entire room with oil in a matter of seconds, or any other horrible substance they get their little paws on.

Child-proof caps aren’t for safety on those things, they are for the poor tortured parents who don’t want to replace the carpeting a second time.

Totally. When I was a baby I used to be babysat by my mom’s twin sister. I had an uncanny ability for finding perfume bottles, opening them, and drinking them. Probably for the alcohol content, nobody knows. It drove my aunt crazy because there was nowhere to hide the bottles that I wouldn’t eventually sniff out and track down.

“Die doing what they loved.” Genius. This is going to become my motto for deregulating everything where we could use fewer nitwits. Mandatory helmets and safety belts? Pah. Its not like we couldnt use the organ donors.

Stop making me laugh at the death of children Adam. Every time I laugh out loud at one of the kid deaths I’m sure an angel gets a little angrier at me.

I always follow the advice on the newspaper’s plastic bag: “Keep away from children.” This sounds good too.

My biggest problem when I take my meds is I can’t get my washing done because it says, Do not operate heavy machinery.

The first generation of child proof prescription lids killed a lot of elderly and chronically ill.

The first gen were just the lock and it was stronger than the one now. For about 5 years old people died prematurely because they couldn’t open their meds and gave up. A few children died because frustrated elders moved pills to easily opened containers. After estimates of over 100,000 deaths, the lids were redesign to allow one side to be easy on, easy off. Doesn’t take much to make government admit it was wrong.
