You can’t kill a bug even with the most powerful alien weaponry.
I think aliens would be extremely offended by all the movies mankind made portraying them as evil beings that are set out to destroy us.
I think ET and “Close Encounters” were just preparing us for the fact that aliens don’t wear pants (like Ziggy and Porky Pig).
