“Millions long for immortality who don’t know what to do with themselves on a rainy Sunday afternoon.”

“Ugh. Sundays. The long, dark teatime of the soul, amirite?” -Douglas Adams, approximately

I think you left out the ”n” in bacon bits in panel 3.

bacon bits and baco bits are two different things. One is awesome, the other is also awesome… I’m not sure what the difference is, but it’s there.

Baco bits are so awesome you don’t need the “N” to know how awesome they are.

Isn’t Boardwalk Empire and Treme on Sunday? Also, my family shops for groceries on Friday, so the lackluster sandwiches occur on Thursday (if we’ve been having sandwiches), but we always go to Rally’s or Subway in the evening.

On the other hand, I would consider myself lucky to have leftover bacon bits- we rarely even have something like *that* leftover.

This really helps with my whole spatula-hatred dilemma.

First, Douglas Adams pointed out Sunday afternoon may sometimes be “that long, dark tea-time of the soul” in a book that many who like this comic might like: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Long_Dark_Tea-Time_of_the_Soul and second, i have started ridding myself of spatulas – living simply is always a good goal.

A couple of things. It’s November and Bug can’t find a football game to watch? And second if he gets rid of his spatulas, how will he flip his pancakes? Love to see him try that with a large fork.
LOL’ed at Ryan O’Neal and “Teacups and Doilies” Saw that in the theaters when it first came out in 1975 and fell asleep.

      “Teacups and Doilies” is real?
My wife loves those 1800s “period piece” movies and books. Good lord…just kill me now. Only good movie about the 1800s is about Lewis & Clark, the Civil War or Custer’s Last Stand.

Wow. You REALLY ain’t been seein the right movies. Next time TCM runs a full day of John Wayne we are supergluing you to a chair in front of the tv and taping you eyelids open for the entire day.

There’s always church. I wish more preachers sounded like Elmer Gantry. I think some of the Mega-churches make it an all day affair (there’s sometimes even food afterward…some of those ladies can really cook).

Come to think of it, that panel is even sadder for Bug if Baco Bits is a brand name for turkey bacon bits.

I could’ve sworn that said “taco bits” until I read the comments. Then the ‘T’ magically turned into a ‘B’. Oh, the joyous delusions that come of staying up all night.
