I like this idea, together with your fashion prediction “dresses for men”, where the dresses had prints of monster trucks and skulls on them. Add pockets and you’re golden.

I’ve never understood why men dont wear dresses. I mean, they got ‘more’ stuff down there than women, and they just decide to make it uncomfortable by putting fabric around it?

As a girl, and as you can see from my name, I dont wear that many dresses. I feel like women were built to wear pants, since we got nothing down there. Also, my body is not made to wear dresses, too hard to walk and sit and run in.

Well, evidently in Victorian England, women wore those very wide dresses as a method of keeping men away.

      In Scotland, they wear kilts.

      Then there’s https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petticoat_punishment

I tried on dresses when I was alone. Strange enough, I could fit into womens clothing better than mens. Even weirder is, I have trouble finding mens jeans that actually fit a damn.

      Damn this curse.

Heh. My mom and me (female as well) have the exact same problem. well, the gender-bent version of it.

Now, the only conclusion I can see is stylists decided to put everyone in the other gender clothes…

You are excused DressesAreStupid for thinking that having your nether part swinging around in free i particular comfortable. I guess it is like bras. Sure, it is nice once in a while to walk around and let it all hang out, but once you have to be up and about, when you have to do things, walk at a brisk pace, you want the support provided by a bra or snug underpants.

Or maybe it’s just because I have so much junk down there….

In a logical world, men would ride side-saddle.

This is a common misconception, that our nether regions are somehow more uncomfortable than a woman’s just because there’s more down there. In truth, it’s not really noticeable.

I mean, yeah, if a guy is wearing a pair of jeans or tighty wighties 2 sizes too small, he’s probably risking impotence. But if he’s wearing something his size… he probably won’t even pay mind to it.

I wear jeans and briefs every single day, and frankly, I hardly even acknowledge my privates’ existence save for toiletries or when a particularly attractive woman enters my sight.

As for side-saddle, that’d actually be worse. We’d be squeezing our happies between our legs, which is certainly not better than just going spread eagle on the saddle. It’s not as if our privates are made of glass.

Have you ever ridden a horse ‘normally’? I have myself, and tried riding in side-saddle, and the normal way is much easier to sit in. I imagine a guy riding a horse in full speed and the guy in an uncomfortable position. But I guess I was wrong.

Sorry for the little misconception, but I don’t exactly read up on these things or ask guys how it feels like to wear pants.

Jon Fishman, the drummer for Phish, wears a dress at every show. He seems to use it for jokes at this point.

I recall seeing a pic of him while looking at some Phish photos years back. I should get back into that group as I had owned A Live One, Slip Stitch & Pass and some random other album.

That’s why purses were invented! Or if you want it to sound more masculine, ‘satchels’.

Or, if you wear a kilt, call it a sporran and hang it around your waist. The Queens (and Kings) Highland Regiments are called “The Ladies From Hell” for their ferocity in battle. Can’t get more masculine than that.

Hanna Anderson has dresses with pockets- simple ones made out of expensive cotton that go from infant to a women’s size XS or S.

On the downside, everyone will know when you cut a big one by the giant gust ruffling your dress.

Sorry, I wear boxers under my Utilikilt. A breeze usually isn’t a problem anyway.

These have nice big pockets that look good.

Well, the long dresses would be particularly hard to run in. Maybe that’s why the Star Trek women all wear short skirts? Surely not for sex appeal, nah, couldn’t be that.
I was always jealous of the girls in junior high because we weren’t allowed to wear shorts even on hot days but the girls could wear clothes that actually get airflow.

I’m a guy and I work as a nurse and went to the manager of the facility where I work during summer and said “The girls all get to wear skirts when it’s hot, why can’t we wear shorts?”

Long story short, we were given the go-ahead to wear shorts provided they were down to our knees and plain black. I had the most comfortable summer ever, and really regretted when the cooler weather came in and I had to go back to wearing long trousers.

Oh yeah, I’m from Down Under. It’s winter here. brr.

What timing!!! I’m currently spending a few months in a small town in Oman where all the men wear dresses (dishdashas)… all I’ve been able to think is “Why haven’t the U.S. guys figured this out? Super comfortable!)”

So this strip actually inspired me to go out and acquire a skirt to deal with a practical issue involving a swimming pool and a long walk.

Those things are -darn comfy-, I must say. I don’t think the look suits me, but they’re nice for lounging around at home by myself in.
