My mother, eldest sister, and I (age 4) were sitting on the couch. My 7 year old sister (whom I refer to as Frog) was sitting on the floor in front of me. We were watching the original airing of V (the part where they take their faces off for the first time). So they go and rip their faces off and I say, “Don’t look, Frog!” then I twist her head around. Frog thought I had killed her and started bawling hysterically. Mom and my eldest sister were no help or comfort as they were laughing so hard they fell off the couch. I couldn’t understand why they were laughing, Frog was crying, or why no one appreciated me helping Frog not see the gross part.
Totally hilarious. I loved the “whoop” noise, and the punchline was the best kind there is…unexpected. Didn’t think there would be another direction-related joke (thought it was going into something about the other guy knowing how to snap necks, or somewhere the spin trick would be handy). XD
But…you stopped drawing necks on them ages ago. Wouldn’t the heads just twirl around?
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve caught myself in the same situation in Panel 4. I’m glad to know that someone else knows my pain.
