I know it wasn’t spears in the movie, but Panel 3 instantly reminded me of the beginning of Raiders of the Lost Ark when Indiana Jones is running from the Hovitos.

I don’t care. I’m still holding onto my parachute pants, my three-piece suit, and my polyester shirts.

Oh man, there’s just so much WIN in today’s comic! The leggings on the Zulu Bugs, the “Talking Heads on Stakes” bugs, the flip-up shades-are-coming-back comment.
But hey! I draw the line at laughing at Hawaiian Shirts! They’re still cool. Right?
    Amiright?
    Guys?
    Hello? Is this thing on?

I can decide if flip up shades are less cool than clip ons

      Clip ons are for geezers.

I am of the age where the eyes are starting to go. A few years ago my optometrist prescribed for me glasses for distance vision, primarily for driving. Which I never wore because they weren’t sunglasses, and like everyone else, I do more than half my driving in the daylight, and need the sunglasses.

So I finally broke down a few months ago and bought a sunglass clip on. So I’m well on my way to geezer dom. Any day now will be the walker.

On the other hand, flip ups are super mega dorky – even in the 80s when they were allegedly cool.

Why don’t you just get sunglasses made to your eye correction?

    1) It was the Battle of Rouk’s Drift

    2) It wasn’t a fort, it was a field hospital where the British survivors of a rightous ass kicking by the Zulus the previous had to hunker down to protect the wounded.

    3) The British didn’t have muskets but Martini-Henry, breech loading, cartiridge rifles. The Zulu’s had nothing bu a handful of muzzle loading muskets, spears, rawhide sheilds, no armor and a disiplined, large scale military organization that made the Spartens look like a mob of druken frats.

    4) Zulu’s are extremely cool.

You can have my tool crammed cargo pants when you pry them off my flabby, hairy, pasty, dead thighs. Which I should point out, nobody is every going to try to attempt.

Whoa… I like the stick-bugs in the last panel. Very surreal!

      That’s ‘stuck-bugs’, I think.
