In my eyes, what separates a jock from a sports nerd is whether or not they do actual physical activity. Pro football players are jocks; the dudes who wear replica jerseys and just WATCH football games are sports nerds.
If this would work as well as the original Scared Straight programs, apparently you would indeed increase the kid’s chances of turning geek. How’s that for Patron of the Arts! *giggles*
No girlfriend, a plethora of Voltron posters, and camping out all night in a tent on the street would hardly be put-offs fro the average 8 year old kid.
