aaaaaght a rif on the most evil poem in the universe!!!

    Aaaaaaaaaaarght!

’Twas the month before Christmas: through the whole universe,
Stupid buggers were reciting this horrible verse.
It’s rhymes were pathetic; its scansion was worse.*
And I couldn’t help thinking it should go in reverse
As Dan Chaucer would say, up the re-citers erse!

    See: http://howlandbolton.com/essays/read_more.php?sid=362

    * Dan’s pronunciation disyllabic, (which was something like ‘ersë’)
Means that line should end (ungramatically) ‘worser’

I put all my christmas decorations up in 2008, near yule-time I only clean it and change the bulbs/leds to more “christmas-y” colours than I use the rest of the year, I havn’t had to untangle the decorations since 🙂

(The key to pulling this off is to have sane and discreet decorations – don’t be gaudy)

[I have a plastic christmas tree as well]

I don’t think there’s enough panels left before XMAS to do justice to the send up of the poem. But we shall see… Looking forward to this week’s BUGMARTINI.

    Still no BUGMARTINI book. Sigh…

    Everyone Google: August 21 2017.

Ha! I like that tangled decoration, hanging my lights like that would spare me lots of time and annoyance. I will do that from now on!

Does save time. I saw a set once that looked like it had been thrown at the front yard tree. “The damn lights are up, Muriel– ya happy now?”
