Well, you could follow whatever training sumo wrestlers follow.

But a properly blown up balloon isn’t supposed to have any folds.

The main thing that sumo wrestlers do to make sure that they can keep their weight up while gaining incredible amounts of strength is to eat huge amounts of protein AND huge amounts of carbs once per day. Chankonabe is basically a clear fish or chicken broth with tons of chicken, fried fish, beef, or whatever else in it, along with some leafy greens, and other flavorings like miso or sake or whatever. That much lean protein helps build muscle and strength. But to make sure that you can ALSO put on weight, you eat it with huge amounts of rice and beer.

And then you spend the rest of the day exercising and practicing.

Yes, pens is the word, that is what body shaping is about in the long run. Even if a pen is just a pen sometimes.

Exercise won’t get rid of your flab; only diet gets rid of fat. (Well, okay, that’s a gross oversimplification, and there’s a lot more interaction than that, but still.)

When I was working with a trainer, I decided that I wanted to build up my chest and shoulders because that way, it would LOOK like my belly had shrunk in comparison, and I wouldn’t have to diet and lose the actual fat.

It kind of worked a little bit. But, yes. You CAN become strong, have better blood pressure and resting heart rate, and be generally healthier, and STILL maintain your rolls of flab.

“Overall beefiness” is my new favorite expression.

So, what we have here is a flabby guy with big feet who draws with no shirt on? Not a pretty picture Adam… not pretty at all. If tomorrow is about your propensity to sweat a lot, I’m never buying your artwork. 😉

To be fair, I think he doesn’t have any pants on either.

I’m sitting here trying to rest my pen on my blubber. I guess it’s not rippled enough. :/

“Rippled” is a good parallel to “ripped” !

I like that when sitting my belly flab acts as a resting place for my beer can.

I hate it when my overall beefiness snaps pens in half.
I wouldn’t recommend it based on the dry cleaning bill, alone!

I do not want to see a guy with pecs he can hold a pen between. I think there’s some rule about never dating a guy with tits bigger than your own.

Bug should write to the advice column “Dear Flabby”
