In the last panel: Is that a bull’s eye they’re wearing at their crotch?

That’s the x-men symbol. You for put it somewhere… And it’s appropriate as current popular opinion suggests that the KKK mutant powers is being … You know…

There’s a very interesting book about prohibition – “Last Call:The Rise and Fall of Prohibition”. It’s a great read that includes the History of some odd political alliances in American History including the KKK in support of prohibition.

My father talked of his boyhood in the 20’s and Klan rallies in Lincoln, NE. Incomprehensible to me during the civil rights era in the 60’s.

I know, I know – I’ve put it off for too long. I spent some time yesterday proofreading strips that are going in book one so I am working on it. Crossing my fingers that it’ll actually happen this time.

Just publish them all! Do several books. Comment on the evolution of the Bug. Include some of the better comments from the strips. I’d buy ’em for Christmas presents to all and sundry. Whomever sundry might be.

I remember that book! I thought it was fascinated when they laid out how it wasn’t all that odd of an alliance, since much of the alcohol targeted was associated with foreigners, and so a driving force behind Prohibition was a very anti-immigrant, “they’re all drunkards who can’t control themselves” attitude.

That’s where I was going, too. First blockbuster movie; still considered a great movie in terms of how well it’s put together; all about the KKK, Great American Action Heroes.

Maybe they go see movies like _12 Years a Slave_ and just leave halfway through?

great comic! I love your work; I read it every day.

Small note, just a pet peeve of mine – in the third panel, that should be “led”, not “lead”.

    Thanks!

Well, maybe not an explicit racist as the hero, but they rarely have to worry about the people they hate being in the starring role.

    …wow, that got kinda dark.
