Because with Predators, smoking is a transitive verb.

Seeing the baguette in your strip reminded me I saw this news item
    http://www.newsbehind.com/business/europe-news/detail/paris-suffers-baguette-shortage-6205.html

and thought of your trip. Hope you still managed to find baguettes…

And yet, Americans smoke more… https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_cigarette_consumption_per_capita

A nice addition to that data would be the minimum and maximum, or any other data that could help us know the part of the population that smokes (my idea being that maybe more people smoke in France, but when they do they smoke less than American people do; so it makes it seem that French people smoke more).

You’d win that bet: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prevalence_of_tobacco_consumption ; however, there are, once more, countries that make France not look that bad in comparison. I wish no one would smoke, but the cliché is no longer true.

Love your work as always, Adam!

I skipped backwards past this comic to find my last-read point (been away for a couple of days, need my Bug Dust!) and in the 1.5 seconds of glimpsing the last panel, thought to myself “Cool! Bug Predator!”.

It took me longer to realise that I’d recognised it than it did to actually do the recognising. It made me think of just how much I LOVE the way you’re always able to capture the essence of any character so eloquently with only a few seemingly relatively simple lines.

Every time I’m in Paris, I have to share my cigarettes with the whole city. It’s usual there that ordinary people ask a complete stranger for a cigarette. In Germany, only street people would ask for a smoke 🙂
