You don’t even need “the little metal things”, if it’s close enough. Some idiot actor offed himself accidentally, playing Russian Roulette with a gun loaded with blanks, for a movie. No, they don’t. Most murders are committed using blunt objects. Guns are used more then two THOUSAND times per day to defend life. A gun is an inanimate object and doesn’t kill anyone any more than your bike takes you to work.

Stronger clothespins? Not compared to hanging a gun up to dry, certainly an Uzi like you show Bug throwing away, even unloaded. Maybe compared to a little pocket gun….
Hang the boomerang *over* the line, then use the clothespin to keep it from tilting, that way all of the weight is being supported in the crook of the boomerang.
