"And terrorists are fluoridating our water with anchor babies! However, we've also solved the energy crisis. Coming up next… Can your daughter get pregnant from a public pool? Are you willing to take the chance? More after the break."

(e-cookies if anyone catches the reference)

Only if you’re conservative. If you’re a liberal or a skeptic, it just generates laughter or depression.

I'd be able to power a city if given access to a medical database of deadly diseases with common symptoms.

    LOL at the last panel!

If that would work, people would never be without energy…

"Aaargh… there is no electricity, the lights are going out! And I'm afraid of the dark!" = panic = electricity

OMG Adam, you've found the solluton to the energy-crisis!!!

Panel three 9/11 joke– too soon? It's hard to tell. For example, Holocaust jokes still won't be funny for a long time, but witch-burning jokes are a go.

You could set up panic receptors in airports- you'd make BANK! I was in an airport when the first casualties of the swine flu were reported- the panic resulted in an unmitigated disaster! If anything comes on the news that's even remotely dangerous-sounding, people flip.

"Scientists have recently discovered a lack of sun spots…"

"AAAACK!!!! Loot the gift shop for sunblock, though we're all probably DOOMED! DOOMED I tell you, DOOOMED, DOOOOOOOMED!"

Reminded me of an old Soviet-era short story (I can't remember who it's by) about a train that was powered by spite. Everybody blamed everybody else for its not running until suddenly – off it went!

Random Russian literature aside, I love the comic.
