Great! I'm finally the first one to tell you what a great job you've done!

    Insomnia pays!

That's funny, as I have double jointed thumbs, and used to wiggle them when I was a teen to impress anyone 😀

I actually used this once to don't have to go to the obligatory individual piano class at music school – I can't come to the lesson, teacher, i dislocated my thumb!

This comic hit home. What is it with girls?

I'm a girl, and I find all of those things attractive in my significant other. (Although I must admit I'm the one who annoys her with the straw wrappers. And we impersonate Gollum together.)

Still lovin' the comic, though! Just wanted to defend my gender.

Okay. Gollum impressions are cute. Jar-Jar Binks impressions are grounds for being run over by a Hummer (the truck, not the recreational activity).

Doesn't the original Hummer have enough ground clearance that you can be run over by it and still not get touched? So which is it? Does he deserve a harmless, all though rather scary experience or are you talking full frontal bull bar plus getting squashed by the wheels? 🙂

Full frontal bull bar plus getting squashed by the wheels. Anyone who does Jar-Jar Binks impressions, or even thinks of doing them, does not deserve to live. They deserve messy, painful deaths.

Awh, man! I have those abilities, too.

Does that mean I'll never manage to impress a girl? D:

haha I totally do frame #1, but I go further – I'll pinch the straw at both ends and then wrap it towards the center until there's a pocket of air in the middle of the straw. And I'm such a gentleman, I let the lady flick it with her finger to make the big popping sound.

I once did the creamer trick on a first date (where you pretend to push a fork into your eye and simultaneously pop the creamer so that it appears your eye has exploded in a stream of white).

    Never heard from her again.

I used to joke that a certain part of me could whistle, but not very loud… so they had to get close enough to hear it…. worked a couple times.

I just want to say that I would be impressed with everything except for the blowing the straw wrappers into the eyes. My eyes are pretty sensitive, but I would think it would be funny to watch a date blow his straw wrapper into other people's eyes.

there are so many creeps out there that need to be "maced on principle"! Not that I have the heart to do such a thing to an adorable geek…maybe to a collar-poppin' pants-droppin' d-bag. 😉

    Wonderful comic, as always!

    I'm a girl, and I find

Panel 2: Definitely a good start. I hate those stoopid straws that break at the bottom when you open them. (I wear glasses, so the whole contact/brain thing isn't an issue)

    Panel 3: A useful skill

Panel 4: Grounds for a relationship, out of principle.

Heh, my fiance does stuff like that. (I don't think he's double jointed but he can do other stuff that sometimes is awkward and unexpected.) It's actually why I fell for him in the first place. I <3 my geeky dork. =D

Seriously, if all the girls you are finding hate this stuff, you need to look elsewhere cause obviously you're not looking at the right girls. 🙂

Don't worry, that last panel pretty much just confirms what I've suspected since I first found this site; you are me in guy form.

😮 Someone else with weird double-jointed thumbs!

I also used to gross out my sister, only show the back of your hand and pretend to “dislocate” it into the rest of the hand..

    Good times, good times..

    I love your comics! I’m a new fan 🙂

Hmm. What does it say when you’re a girl with these qualities/problems? Well, not the thumb one, that’s my brother. He’s fun to thumb wrestle. = P
