I don’t expect everyone to know who the two guys are in the last panel, but if you don’t know who the guy (the one who speaks) in the first panel is then congratulations, you make me feel old.

Originally the caterpillar in the last panel was going to say: “I sure hope Marlin Perkins isn’t filming this,” but even I thought was too old of a reference. Plus it wouldn’t make much sense as Marlin is quite deceased.
