Shop ‘Til You Drop

Hello All!

It’s been a while since I’ve written to you, hasn’t it? Sorry about that. Been busy, busy, busy.

One of the things I’ve been busy, busy, busy with has been setting it up so you fine folks can purchase multiple prints or originals and not be charged a shipping cost  for each and every item. I’m happy to announce that it’s all taken care of. If, for example, you want to buy ten pieces of original art (and really, why wouldn’t you want to?) you will be charged a single shipping charge! After you’ve clicked on the “Buy Now” button and are taken to the PayPal page, simply click on “Continue Shopping” to go back my website and find more pieces to buy. Giving me money has never been simpler!

Also – I want to thank each and everyone of you for visiting my site. I never imagined I’d have an audience of this size so soon. You’ve helped me to get closer to my life-long dream of drawing a comic for a living. In between periods of busy, busy, busyness, I think about how you’ve helped the site become what it’s become and I’m humbled.

Thank you all so much!

Orignal Art and Prints…Revised

Just wanted to let everyone know that I’ve readjusted the shipping prices for original art and prints to reflect international costs. Those living abroad, who ordered strips before I made the change will not be charged anything extra.

Original Art and Prints for Sale!

by Adam on April 25, 2010 at 11:39 pm

Car window busted out? Living room wall got a nasty stain that just won’t go away? Sick of looking at your spouse’s face?

Well cover them up with some Bug original art and prints! Yes, you now have the option to purchase prints of your favorite Bug strips – or you can dole out a little more green and own the original, hand-drawn strip that will surely go up in value when I croak.

Prints are printed on 100 lbs card stock measuring 11″ x 17″. The strip itself measures a little over 4″ x 13″.

Originals are drawn on 100 lbs Strathmore Smooth Bristol paper measuring 5.5″ x 14″. Like the print, the strip itself measures a little over 4″ x 13″.

You can buy any strip by clicking the Purchase button (located in between the navigation buttons below the comic). Prints will always be available but originals will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis.

Thanks, and happy shopping!

Bugging You For Money

When I first started this webcomic there was one thing I knew for sure:

I was not going to accept donations.

I don’t want a handout. If I want to make a buck, I’ll sell prints, original art and other merchandise instead. My current job affords me a living and I’m not a charity case.

That was until I found out my roommate, who’s been instrumental in getting this website up and running, is moving out at the end of August. Since then I’ve been scrambling, trying to figure out how to make this comic earn. I’m having trouble finding a one-bedroom apartment that I can afford and I’m interested to see if this comic can pick up the slack and keep me from moving to the crummy side of town where rent is cheaper.

Now I’ll admit that desperate times are no excuse to abandon your ethics, but I also feel that it’s stupid to turn my back on folks who enjoy my comic enough to want to give something back.

So there it is. I’m not going to beg and plead for your money. And if I have to move to a less-than-pleasant neighborhood, so be it. Bug will go on no matter where I end up. But if you like the strip enough that you want to support it, by all means, click on the goofball in the sidebar and donate what you can. Thanks.

Angels & Demons

I finally saw the Tom Hanks movie Angels & Demons, though I’m using the word “saw” liberally as I found it very difficult to pay attention to the film and my eyeballs were constantly looking for alternative forms of entertainment (such as staring out the window). For those of you haven’t seen this movie, allow me to offer a quick summary of the film’s plot and save you two boring hours:
