Fat bug is hilarious looking. The folds!
That is one squishy insect
Oh my dear lord … “Blobba Ghanoush.” That’s awesome. Thank you, Adam.
And, oddly enough, Bug looks thinnest in the panel where he’s ordering “enough burgers to feed the Gilbreth family.”
My balancing act is, if I know a fast-food or equally fattening lunch is coming that day, I skip breakfast. Totally unhealthy, I know, bu it makes me feel better inside.
it’s because of that “veal of produce” =p
“no, but you are right to mock me.”
Burgers aren’t bad, it’s a salad lunch wrapped in a bit bread with a bit of meat in the middle, I see nothing wrong with that.
So does the Gilbreth family line make the first obscure reference in the comic for 2012.
I particularly like how the bug in panel one looks like he has a “spare tire”.
From “Blobba Ghanoush” to the Cheaper by the Dozen reference, this comic was gold. Nice work, Adam!
Wow, I don’t think I’ve ever read anywhere a reference to the original Cheaper by the Dozen writer. now the question is if he meant the book itself or the original movie?
I would assume he meant the actual people, seeing as the books (plural – the sequel is Bells on Their Toes) are autobiographical.
Does it make me old that I got the Gilbreth family reference without the explanation?
Plus, one baby carrot will totally cancel out an entire cheesecake. True story.
No it doesn’t Jeff, your age alone does that.
Baby carrots in my house are entirely not healthy, I can only eat them with a tube of ranch or blue cheese dressing..
“baby carrots, the veal of produce.” is absolute genius.
Oh man, I forgot about that book’s existence!
It’s important to eat your fast food using as few therbligs as possible.
Hahah dang that’s 1st panel is hilarious, but I hope u know this is a real thing Adam ppl actually do this (I used too :[ )
I like salad with banana peppers. That is my anti-guilt food.
FYI – No such thing as “baby” carrots.
The chlorinated veal of produce!
I grew up believing that John Kenneth Galbraith was actually the guy from the Cheaper by the Dozen books that I’d read as a child… (never seen the movies, just knew the name was similar and the father had a similar job (economist, scientific management)…
Boy did people look at me funny when I confused them in public the first time; though in my defence, a 14-year old mentioning either of those two men was probably funny enough
Anyone else want to see Adam in real life?
