It would be fun! Bug can show a lot of emotion with what he has. Reply 432 on August 19, 2011 at 12:09 am Panel 3 makes me want to say sorry. Reply Chaucer on August 19, 2011 at 12:37 am I was thinking something a bit more Jackie Chan. Possibly being caught in a. Yo-yo breakdance competition between the Thugees using cobras for yo-yo strings and the Yakuza using yo-yos with attached tattoo needles. Then, just as Bug rides in on à la Evel Knievel performing an around the world upside down whilst flying through flaming hoops, Thugees to his left walking the cobra and Yakuza to the right inking NerdBug’s ass with Kali in a red circle with a slash through it, Bug sprains a toe in his motorcycle boot, effectively ending his around the world in Albuquerque. Or something like that. Reply thorgold on August 19, 2011 at 12:55 am Hmm, 4th panel makes me wonder… COULD you play “Devil Went Down to Georgia” on a Yo-Yo? Reply williamkattwilliams on August 19, 2011 at 12:58 am Remember the movie Crossroads? When Ralph Macchio, armed only with a honey blond Duncan, had to battle Steve Vai, armed with a fire engine red Yomega San Dimas custom shop, in a finger-cutting contest for both his AND his friend’s souls? Yeah, I don’t really remember it either… Reply Mister Jay on August 19, 2011 at 1:09 am did panel 3 bug inherit the cashier girl’s intellectual abilities? Reply LoveTheBadGuy on August 19, 2011 at 2:21 am It’s a shame, because standing behind a dragster is THE best place to perform awesome yo-yo tricks. 😉 Reply ninelen on August 19, 2011 at 3:07 am But “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” is such a great song… Also, I’d think Panel 3 would be more likely to happen in the Middle Ages; cavemen would be intimidated by his mystical powers. 😉 Reply Some guy on August 19, 2011 at 8:14 am It says TRIBESman, not caveman. Reply ninelen on August 20, 2011 at 1:00 am Aren’t most tribesmen (at the very least, the kind wearing furs like Nerd Bug is shown to be) just slightly more advanced versions of cavemen? Same resources, same weapons, same lifestyle. One would assume that they would share many similar views of mysticism. But my mistake, if I made a historically inaccurate comment about an anthromorphic bug tribesman wearing glasses. Reply Some guy on August 20, 2011 at 7:30 am Just don’t let it happen again. Reply ninelen on August 20, 2011 at 11:18 pm I’ll do my best. GamerGirl on August 19, 2011 at 2:17 pm I think my brain just broke in trying to figure out where cavemen belong during the Middle Ages. I mean, could you imagine King Eward I in a pitched battle with cavemen? And panel 4 nearly made me spit tea onto my laptop. How dare anyone question the truthfulness of “Devil went down to Georgia”? Reply Paganini on August 20, 2011 at 8:30 pm “I mean, could you imagine King Eward I in a pitched battle with cavemen?” Well it’s not that unimaginable: Mr. Eddy Longshanks *did* fight against the French… Reply Fabrael on August 19, 2011 at 8:49 am I’m looking forward to the extremely rare Yo-Yo related injuries now. Reply Jennifer on August 19, 2011 at 9:49 am I am appalled that you would question the credibility of bluegrass lyrics. Reply Deamon on August 19, 2011 at 10:02 am Since when is having a damned soul an injury… Reply thorgold on August 19, 2011 at 1:24 pm I dunno, eternal hellfire and torture comes to mind. Reply Jeff on August 19, 2011 at 11:49 am UNcommon injuries. Awesome as always. WilliamKatWilliams (if that’s your REAL name), unfortunately, I do remember that scene and that movie…no matter how hard I try to forget. And “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” on yo-yo’s would be totally rad… Reply williamkattwilliams on August 19, 2011 at 4:06 pm Pshh! ‘Course it’s mah real name! What did you not like about that scene? I thought Karate Kid did a half way decent job of faking it. Now I want to watch the rest of the movie. Always nice to see someone beat Satan at his own game 😀 Reply Hjörtur Hjartarson on August 19, 2011 at 7:47 pm Epic! Love panel three Reply Metron on August 20, 2011 at 9:34 am Nice Charlie Daniels reference 😀 Reply jared the dreamer on August 20, 2011 at 8:27 pm awesome comics. Reply Col Klink on March 31, 2013 at 4:26 pm Chaucer: that’s his story and he’s sticking to it. Reply Submit a Comment Cancel reply Your email address will not be published.
