Panel 3: That would scare me silly if someone held up a mirror in the middle of the night. I don't quite get panel 4, though…

      It’s a reference to the movie/book “Dune”

    I think panel 4 is a Cthulu reference. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cthulu_mythos

Its not Cthulu. The reference is from the Dune movie. Right after he drinks from the Waters of Life. The Worm is the SPICE!

Anyone else noticed typo in the title (and yesterday's) or is it a reference that I didn't catch?

Okay, okay, we all know that: A) Dune (the book) is the epitome of Science Fiction story telling, and B) the 1984 movie version sucked donkey.
What some of you all may NOT know, is that the SciFy tv version was waaaaay better and followed the book fairly well. Not bad at all in fact.

?? The SciFy TV version better? How could that be? The Fremen were chubby in the TV series. Not water starved people who spent half their lives running. The special effects for how everyone moved… Didn’t add anything. The TV version just fell flat. I realize this is many years later but Dune was amazing and the movie amazing. The rest of the books very good… This comic amazing. But people don’t see the TV version.
