I’d struggle to get the belt off, then it’d break halfway through.
Not to mention, using belts, pants, etc. for zip-lining only works in the movies.
And since Bug is normally “pants-less” anyway…
A belt can also be used as an emergency dog leash, if you find a dog before being chased onto a zipline.

To be fair, I’d run away faster from someone with a boomerang. I mean, who knows what they plan to do with it?
Anyone can carry a gun. If someone is carrying a boomerang, it means they know how to use it!
