Oh, man…SUCH truth in this for me…

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not the smartest guy around…or even the 2nd…

    (Carries on, reaching 100th)

But once in awhile I do something or say something quite smart…Only to have something come up 5 seconds later that makes the village idiot look like Stephen Hawking in comparison. (I do have moments
    like the last panel though)

Great comic, Adam! Again, love the sense of exasperation bug has in the final panel!

Thanks! Drew about six different version of those arms. Exasperation can sometimes be a tricky thing to convey.

Wait, did you stop when you reached the 100th position? That would still put you so far on the smart end of the bell curve that I could reasonably expect you to build an arc reactor and team up with the Hulk.

There’s only 97 people in his “around.”

I am not in this situation

Kind of the reverse. I will make a clever comment that references the Peace of Westphalia, design and development of Linnean classification and game theory and no one laughs.

Then I have to give a lecture explaining each portion, the links between each and then finally, bringing it all home, the Burke-like connection

By this point I am looking at glazed eyes and uncomprehending stares. But it is so simple!

I find that if I do this more than twice, they start to poison my tea.

You work in my company, don’t you? Because there is a guy talking like that in the next room.
Let me tell you, I already was thinking about poisoning your tea!

The first President of Peru was Jose de San Martin. You now know something she probably doesn’t.
