Now that’s some interesting dysmorphia. Think of the applications!

Speaking as one of the guys that does this, it’s the second one.

The second panel, or the second theory?

        Ah, sorry for being unclear.
        The second *theory*.

If there was a bonus panel, Arm Guy would be picking up an actual brontosaurus paw from off-panel.

A former housemate of mine used to work as a driver so the windows side arm got really tanned. So when he was in passenger seat, he used to hang the other arm out the window to try to even up the tanning.
Never did it as a driver though.

The third panel was so unexpectedly silly it made me laugh out loud.

Maybe because it’s their left arm and most folks are right-handed? It’d be worth counting dangling arms in countries where they drive on the left.

I forget, would you call it a paw? Without knowing what the dinosaur looked like with skin on it, I’m at a loss…

I just want you to know: paleontologist legit use that phrase (“with the skin on”) frequently. Almost got thrown out of the San Diego Zoo because of it! 😀 Doctors doing ultrasounds of your pregnant wife also take a dim view of that phrase. Fortunately my wife is understanding and only threatened me, instead of strangling me (as she was within her rights to do).
