Saw a photo online of a backhoe with a red-scrawled sign: “Bodies buried $5 Real deep $10”. Could be Brad moonlighting.

Hamlet would probably have been different had backhoes existed back then…

I read the old gravediggers warning in John Cleeses’ voice (as Tim the Enchanter).

    “Up yours, surface dweller.”

I need to start using that in conversation. In fact, there’s a lot of Bug Martini quotes I need to start using in conversation.

I start using “Comically absurd amount of [x]” in some of my forum talk. Thanks to this: https://www.bugmartini.com/comic/bedside-manner/

Ah yes, “A comically absurd amount of cancer”. Perhaps my favorite Bug ‘toon of all time.

Not to mention how concrete grave vaults took all the fun out of rising dead.

In North America at least, most people’s caskets are placed inside a cement box buried under the ground then a cement casing top on that which is usually pin with anchors.

Nobody is getting out of that. There’s been cases of mudslides washing cemeteries out for miles and all you see are big piles of big cement boxes. Not a body in sight.

Your local cemetery could be crammed full of zombies and you’d never know unless you listened real close.

Funny how people always picture grave digger as a morbid job. There’s a Belgian comic called Pierre Tombal. It’s about a gravedigger who walk around the cemetery wearing a casual jacket, a trucker hat and a shovel. The jokes are usually came from the funeral procession, people who visit the deceased, tourists and the ghosts themselves.

The best part was when he brought a friend home for dinner. The poor sap was so jumpy (Because his house is in the middle of the cemetery) for the smallest things. He ended up running away screaming.
