Uh-oh… I think I like Lucifer now. That can’t be good. If I go to hell, I’m blaming you, Adam!

    But still hilarious! 😀

(On a more editing-ish note – methinks you missed a full stop after “advertising”.) 😉

I’m glad someone else mentioned that. I feel like a pretentious bitch nagging on his grammar all the time.

I just read over that and realized that it sounded fairly insulting, which it wasn’t intended to be. I’ll rephrase:

I’m glad someone else noticed that. 😀 I feel like a pretentious bitch when I’m the only one that comments on his grammar.

Ya know…everyone could just let the grammar go. This isn’t an exercise in an English class after all. And mind you, this is coming from the one in my family known as the Spell Nazi. Adam doesn’t really need all of us griping about his little grammatical faux pas all the time. I mean, do I see them? Sure. Do they drive me crazy sometimes…meh. Bug is too funny to get all riled up over a few minor things like missing comma’s or periods. IMHO…

Honestly, I don’t really think anyone has gotten “worked up” over Adam’s various minute grammatical or spelling errors. As far as I’ve seen, everyone points them out as nicely as humanly possible.

If *I* see them, I mention them for two reasons. First, so that he might fix them and make the comics a smoother read for other Bug fans.

Second, I consider Adam a writer, like I am. While I am by no means a great novelist (or a talented cartoonist), I appreciate it when other people mention my mistakes, as do the vast majority of other writers. It’s editing. I like my work to be as perfect as I can make it, and editing helps out a lot with that.

I edit Adam’s work as a professional courtesy (for lack of a better term) to him, so that his work might also be as perfect as possible. If it annoys him or anyone else, I apologize.

For the record: I deeply appreciate it when folks politely alert me to typos in my comics.

I don’t have an editor or someone to proofread my work. It’s just me and I’ll occasionally make mistakes. I’ve watched Scott Kurtz (the webcartoonist who draws PVP) draw his strip in UStream a few times and his chat room will notify him of misspellings and grammatical errors so he can correct them before he even posts the strip. I don’t have that – I have you guys, and you’ve been amazingly helpful to keep my strip on the straight – and grammatically – narrow path

Trust me, it would be much worse if everyone stayed silent and it wasn’t until my first book collection (it’ll happen someday, guys. Be patient) that I discovered all the mistakes in my strips.

Why does every one assume Satan wears a robe with a pointy collar? He’s TOTALLY nude all the time. I mean, come on. If you ruled an entire plain of existence and where the prince of all that is unholy and evil, why would you EVER wear cloths?

Do not underestimate the power of the Divine Legal System: greater than the powers of God almighty and Satan combined. That’s why Satan is so intimidated by the idea of false advertising 😉

On another note, I was kinda surprised that Hitler Bug wasn’t in the background somewhere.

I would totally buy a satan fish sticker. That’s probably what the first transitional fish looked like in evolution — waddling with their iddy biddy forks to find new food sources. Not sure about the horns though…

So so much to love about this comic! The little bug skull, complete with antennae bones, the unicorn advertising bug, the devil bug (anyone else think it should be Beelzebug?) worrying about getting sued and rejecting every single idea, ad bug pointing “gun fingers” at the “big guy” with his last pitch…ah, so much to love about Bug, Adam. Thank you.
I totally rank Bug up there with Calvin & Hobbes and Bloom County, which, coming from me is high praise indeed.

As stated above, you need a car magnet like the catfish with a pitchfork. I will buy one for every car I own and everyone else I happen to come across. Also, being in advertising and merchandising, this is scarily close to the truth…
