The upside down cross is a symbol of humility and loyalty to Jesus. It’s even on the Pope’s throne. So, if someone takes offense to this, they don’t even understand their own religion.

The story goes that, some saint whose name I cannot recall, was to be crucified. But he did not think himself worthy of being executed the same way as Jesus. So he requested his Cross be placed upside down.

Enjoy being able to laugh at goths and metal heads that think the upside down cross is a Satanic Symbol so they get it tattooed on their person or wear it as jewelry. 😀

It usually religious people with less knowledge about their own religion who easily offended by something the deemed not fitting with their point of view.

Saint Andrew, the patron saint of Scotland. And it wasn’t an upside down cross, it was a cross on it’s side; it’s where the saltire on our flag comes from.

Peter the apostle is held to have been crucified on an inverted cross. Different from St. Andrew.

Never been one for religion, but every time I see someone make a mention to the actual meaning behind the inverted cross, all I can think about is Legend of Zelda: A Link Beteeen Worlds and how many fanartists associated an inverted Triforce with evil characters.

The ridiculous thing about this is that I read it only minutes after having eaten a “fun” size bag of peanut M&Ms. Before breakfast. Which I still have not eaten.

I was Pedobear for Halloween this year, giant head and all… had leftover candy for breakfast this morning… and all the Halloween decor has been removed from the porch save two jack-o-lanterns, which are gradually melting a large fuzzy patch into the deck. Its like this comic is speaking to me somehow…

Call me crazy, but I fail to see how an upside-down cross would make sense as a Halloween decoration.
(Also, something I just noticed as I was typing this: have you always had that smiley face in the bottom-left corner of the webpage?)

The smiley is generated by a WordPress plugin called Jetpack, they use it for tracking visitor stats apparently: https://jetpack.me/tag/site-stats/
