Probably for the best that she does keep slipping out of them. The last thing you want is to give your daughter lotus feet because you tied her laces too tight.

I think it’s supposed to be “handle”, not “handles” in panel #4?

Thank you for that EVER-so-helpful idea. Now I can’t send the link to this comic to my rather suggestible son, who’s dealing with this very problem. See, he has worked on movie sets, and does sound and lights for theatres, and he already CARRIES gaff tape, AND uses the stuff on damn near everything (I think he patched a flat tire with it once. Unsuccessfully). Show him this comic, and he’d have the little darling mummified in an instant.

Of course, since he’s teaching the little hurricane how to use tools properly (which is how the kid ended up helping to assemble his own change table at 18 months), he’s probably also explained the benefits of gaff tape already, and shown him how to escape from that too, when it gets tangled; thus ruining the benefits of your comment anyway.

Oh, I may as well send it anyway. Maybe he can gaff tape the little guy to the ceiling at Christmas to help prevent further trauma for the cats…

Gaffer tape and toddlers. Always a winning combination. Plus, if you are careful it doesnt leave marks (unlike ropes). CPS are such buttinskis…

What if you said that was how you give your child a bath? Could you do the trick that way?

I recommend Robeez for little ones, assuming they are available where you live. They actually stay on. There are similar leather booties from other companies that work, too. They even have some cute bug (bee) ones! https://www.robeez.com/bee-baby-shoes-soft-soles/

Baby Bug reminds me of Niece Bug: A survivor capable of taking care of herself.

She’d practically have to be to have Bug for a Daddy.

I laughed. My wife asked why. I handed her the tablet. She no longer trusts me around our kids…

Seriously, you need to put your parenting comics into an anthology!!

I recommend Robeez or similar leather booties with elastic tops. They actually do stay on. I tried to post a link yesterday, but my comment never showed up.
