Panel 3 is accurate. The monsters in my mattress did scare me a lot when I was very, very young…

Love this entire one! And, no they won't leave you at the orphanage either! Panel 3 is making me itchy now.

When I was a child, I asked my father if there were monsters under my bed…he answered that not only were there monsters under my bed, but also in the closet, and we had a prehistoric razor fanged fish swimming in the pool in the back yard…

    Your comic is astoundingly awesome.

My parents' response to panel 2?

"We tried, but they didn't want you either."

    Gotta love 'em.

The Russians sold me back. Something about 'not cost-effective' and 'burn in hell' and 'never forget what happened to those curtains'.

Do you have contact information for the Russians?

Bad choice with Russians. They'd be more likely to sell their kids than buy yours.

    And now, let’s answer some children’s questions…
    —
Kiddo Bug: Would my parents REALLY sell me to the gypsies?
Narrator: Nah, they can get much more money from the Russians.
    —
Kiddo Bug: Are there monsters under my bed?
Narrator: Close, they’re actually IN the mattress.
    —
Kiddo Bug: When I crow up, can I be what ever I want?
Narrator: Sure… assuming your expectations are low.
