“Mmmm… Cookies made with resentment, just like mom used to make!”

Mom bugs hair is kind of freaking me out.
Looks like she’s got one of those hyper-evolved brains that make your cranium stick out.
So she should be able to cook using telekinesis.

That’s exactly what I thought when looking at panel 2!

All Mom Bugs aren’t blonde, so…that’s just her hair. No giant forehead, no telekinesis cooking.

Aren’t cheeseburgers, fried chicken, cream of mushroom casserole, and other involved recipes under the category of “comfort food”?

Yeah, I wasn’t aware comfort food was limited to things you remember your parents making for you. It always seemed like something that’s different for everybody, although I usually think of chocolate.

Mashed potatoes and gravy. Now that’s comfort food.

My husband’s idea of comfort food is Ritz crackers and peanut butter. I’m guessing his mom didn’t make that for him (more than once, anyway).

As a young child, I enjoyed making food for my single dad (widower), which he thoroughly enjoyed as well (at least until he saw the clean up needed in the aftermath).

My grilled cheese really was made with love.

All you naysayers obviously had better lives than the poor little bug in the picture!

    Kid Bug’s skeleton is awesome!
Also, you’ve ruined all my childhood memories of the wonderful things my mom made.
    “Hmmm? Oh yeah…’Love’ ” Awesome.

They say that when a mother licks a spoon while cooking to “test the taste” it’s a ‘Mother’s Kiss’…. It’s actually just her spitting in your food, if you think about it.
