I am refreshed to see him break from his normal formula and not get mild to meh comments. I thought this one was great on both of those accounts. Good on ya.
Today’s stip may not have had a narration but you could say that Bug is kinda saying out loud what he’d normally narrate so it’s not too much of a stretch. The bigger change IMO is the punchline in the last panel.
Dingbat co-workers, sales clerks, tech support, etc. you are all dingbats. This is why I don’t want to go to even when I die. Spend an eternity with the dingbats?
This particular strip feels sort of “Foxtrot”-y to me. It is/was one of my favorite newspaper comics.
And although I find structural immunity to traffic accidents to be an appealing prospect, depriving me of sleep is still grounds for mutilation in my book.

I’ve had that same convo about plumbers. One more point for garbage men: their work double as a full body work out so no need for a gym subscription.

Why get up? If I worked early mornings like them, I’d stay up all night and go to sleep after work.
