“Two trips for groceries? Pfft, no one has time for that nonsense. Hercules is on the job!”
And then I drop everything on the kitchen floor.

It’s still only one trip, though!

Not to forget the act of stacking them like you’re trying to build the most statical lego house in existence.

I bet the phrase “All jacked up on lethargy” has never been used before in the course of human history. So funny.

Bug should switch to plastic. When you use the handles you can get at least 5 on each arm, plus a couple in each hand, and maybe one with your teeth… Have done, will do again, will continue to get astronomical eyerolls from the wife…

I used to live on a third floor Apartment, no way was I walking back and forth two or three times! One trip it must be.
Even now that my garage goes practically right into my refrigerator, I still do one trip.

    LOVE IT.

I do the same thing except I have yet mastered the ability to carry all of the bags of groceries and at the same time carry the big bag of cat food. I tried putting the grocery bags on top of the cat food bag once, but that got a little messy.

I just slip all the plastic bag handles over my arms. That way, I can carry 10-12 bags in one trip.

Yep, this is me completely. Sometimes I have issues getting my keys from my pockets after having 7 bags hanging on them though 😛

Me too. In my case it’s kind of justified because I live in apartment building without its own parking lot and depending on when I get home I might have to park a block away.

It’s easier to just combine the garage and kitchen, it really makes the one trip thing faster.

Nothing like eating dinner with a wrench and sawblade.

I always bring everything in one trip. Last time the bag tore and the jam exploded all over the floor, but I got it inside in one trip. 🙂

This is definitely not just a guy thing. However, the hub can definitely get more on his arm than I can. But I should get an A for effort for TRYING to do it all in one trip, right?

Personally, it is pride that motivates be to do this, not sloth.

    … and I enjoy it …

This is everyone in my immediate family EXCEPT my Dad. Mom, brother and daughter (me), are all DETERMINED to never have to go back to the car. We’ll loop our entire arms through bag handles and have one jug per finger if we have to.

We have no idea why we do this, either, as we’re fully aware a 2nd trip wouldn’t kill us (the way this method might). I reason that hey, at least it keeps you in shape.

I feel like this is a major social observation. Has no stand-up comic really ever exploited this at all?? Kudos Adam ! !

Yep that is me, every single time I have to carry things I do my utmost best to do it at once even when afterwards I pay the price for straining my muscles so.

Yeah, not a guy thing, and I dunno if it is pride or laziness but the motivation is strong. xD I just don’t want to keep going back for like, four bags at a time like my family does. There could be ten bags or 50 in all. I will try so hard to bring them all in.
