Okay, I want this on a T-shirt more than I can express in text. I vaguely remember something about that being hard, which is infuriating, but I feel like I should emphasise that the market is very very there if it becomes easier someday.

A steel wire of 1,5 mm in diameter (with nylon coating 2,3 mm) will break at a little over 200 kg (i guss that’s more than 400 pounds).

But if your grappler pulls you up fast, then that could make the wire snap… maybe thicker wire is needed… or just a very slow and undramatic grappler winch.

Not-so-subtle return to previous comment threads’ 3rd-person narrative style. Hopes of continuation of same from future commenters. Also hoping for recognition from said comic strip’s author to feed ego.
Plans to brag to everyone that said author and self are “best buds” because of aforementioned hope of recognition, even though a big, fat lie!

I have this image in my head of a steady stream of random people going up to Mr. Keaton asking him how much he weighed in 1989. “That’s both odd and specific. Why do people keep asking me that?”

It amazes me that not ONE of you people mentioned the old Bash.org website (which, I’m grieved to say, appears to be gone now 🙁 )

This makes me very sad. 10 years ago (and more) that website used to make me laugh like crazy. It was the early version of Imgur or reddit or instagram posts. Mostly pornogaphic (ish) but bloody hilarious. The 3rd-person format comment y’all are bandying about up there was the top rated comment for YEARS.
