Thing is, though, restaurants and hotels are the places that anybody can go to if they have transportation and funds. You will only know your own family’s babies, and the babies of friends. Everything else is just a quick glimpse as you pass them on the street/at the mall/near the park.

While newborns are ugly little gnomes I have to admit that I like babies—when they’re someone else’s and I don’t have to take care of them, of course.

One downside to Yelping babies would arise from how women coo over babies far more than men: I can see some ugly accusations of gender bias being raised.

I love babies. I love to hold them and coo at them and feed them and play with them. And then I love to hand them back to their parents as soon as they start crying.

So, um….I’ve got to ask….is this about YOUR kid?

      Nah, that’s actually pretty tame.

What comes after your kid scarfs down an entire microwave bag of frozen peas, on the other hand–THAT’S nasty. Had a daycare try to send our kid home for that one. Color and consistency, yes, but the smell….it just….lingered.
