if they are relatively small. get one of those lift jacks for a high wheel vehicle like a jeep. Chain the tree tightly ( a couple of wraps of Chain) so that when you lift the chain tightens. Put the jack Tip UNDER the chain and start jacking the tree out of the ground. This WILL free up the roots. THOUGH you may need to put down a footing area so you don’t drive the jack into the ground…
Actually, roots are designed to suck. I just don’t know what that has to do with their parentage.
Getting the god of thunder in won’t help, by the way, lightning and the resulting fire leaves tree roots in place. Maybe you’d prefer a grass roots movement.
