    I don’t even know where to begin…
You must have secretly gone to school or been best buds with Gary Larson or something. How you come up with this stuff…
I think I have some good ideas for a comic strip, try writing them all down and after about 5 or 6, I’m all, “Hmmm…what next?”

I’m not sure what you call that nerd, but I’m pretty sure that act is called “La Forging It.”

I’ve always been wondering about this too! Glasses! I mean, today a lot of people seems to have a poor eye sight, but back then (with some happy definition of “then”) most people survived without. Is it something in the way we live today that ruin peoples eye sight or was the average life just more hillarious in the old days when half the population laughed like crazy at the other half that kept bumping into eachother, poles, horses, houses, barns…..?

    – Hey Joe. Whatcha watching?
    – Oh, we have a horse bumper here. That’s something else than all those pole bumpers you see everyday.
    – Betcha would’ve loved hanging out with us guys yesterday then!
    – Oh?
    – Oh yeah.
    – What’cha got house bumper?
    – Nah. A real barn bumper!
    – Sweet! Those are rare!

I bet that horse bumper is some kind of slang that I’m not aware of and that it probably means some kind of unmentional sexual behaviour. I claim the fifth, not being natively english speaker and all… O:-)

There are multiple parts of modern living that can be detrimental to one’s eyesight. Reading, something I’m sure is more common today than it was way back when, or really looking at anything close up for an extended amount of time, can impair vision. Spending too much time looking at television and computer screens can put strain on the eyes as well. I’m sure there are others, but those are the one’s I came up with off the top of my head.

My eye doctor has repeatedly reassured everyone within hearing distance that there are very few activities that can make you need glasses. (“Eyestrain” is self-correcting: you get a headache, then you stop doing whatever gave you eyestrain, then you recover.) First-world countries have more and more ways of detecting less-than-perfect vision, and a great desire to correct it. Barring injury, vision is hereditary.

I wear glasses and I need them for distance, but without them I don’t run into stuff. I just can’t drive a car because I couldn’t see the signs soon enough

Glasses also help you identify hipsters, sadistic librarians, and Tiny Fey.

This prompted an oft used nerd bluff where they’d squint while rubbing their hands together so as to be mistaken for an evil mastermind.

They’d still get wedgies though, usually because someone would see that their moms put their names on their underpants.

Btw, how did the simple act of tinting spectacle lenses transform nerd to cool, even to the point where the dork in question wears them indoors or in the dark, yet is still considered hip?

I wear glasses, does that make me a nerd?
… Well, I do spend a lot of time in the Internet. And I watch Doctor Who. And Anime. And I read Fantasy and Science Fiction books. And play a lot of video games. And I can solve a Rubik’s cube. And I always carry a USB flash drive with me. And a 4 color pen. So… Yeah, I guess you are right.
Also, I love squinting bug, he looks like an evil villain… You know, the weird but kinda cool kind of villains.

    Adam,

Regarding the advertisements… does your revenue come from us simply viewing the ads, or do you get revenue ONLY when we click the ads and visit the other websites?

If the latter is the case then I’ll start clicking in the future.
