Can I say that I tried to make the ka-thpth noise? A lot?

Btw – the last panel slew me. Nice strip.

This comic is great! As always you deliver a hilarious and relatable comic. I respect Bug for trying to learn the vast and confusing language of the dying car. I personally know the depths of that language.

      *hehe* Me too, please!

Just yesterday I was talking to friend on the phone about my car. Failed big time to reproduce what my car was trying to tell me.

As a (former) auto tech, my biggest complaint about customer complaints is; “It just stopped.”

OK. You mean that the car has ceased all forward motion?
Or, do you mean the engine quit?
Or, or, do you mean the noise is no longer there and everything is fine?

    ——

Also, Adam, your “Next” button stays lit up all the time.
I don’t know if that’s in error, since you were fooling around with the site, earlier.

Heres one from a freind who helps with most of his families basic car troubles.

Sister was complaining that the car made an annoying sound but would never specify what. A few weeks later he asked and she said that it went away. Fortunately her 4 year old was there and imitated the early sound and the one it made when it stopped.
      SkrEEEEeeeeeeee.
SKREeeeeeeeee mixed with a GRRRrrrrrrrr followed by a double Tunk and then it was quiet.

That’s what always bothered me about that old show, “Boy Meets World.”
The girl’s name, Topanga, sounded like something seriously wrong with a car engine.

That’s not the misaligned plugs sound, that’s the air-bubble-in-the-blinker-fluid-line sound.
