At the cinema where I live, there's a couple of front rows, then all the other seats are raised up behind them. So the best place to sit is in the front row of the back section, 'cause there's a mini wall-rail thingy which you can use as a footrest, and you're basically level with the screen. Cinema viewing bliss.

The back row is by far the best, because you have a good view of the screen and you're raised up a little bit so there are no heads in your way.

Same here. There's also no people in the back putting their feet on your chair and you can stand up if you want to and disturb no one 🙂

Man panel 2 is kind of a cliff hanger. Good to see lady bug stole the proper 3d glasses for the movie (those binoculars are actually called theatre binoculars, learn something new every day)

I went out with this girl for a bit who insisted on sitting right down the front. I still have no idea what the plot was for Prince of Persia, because all I can remember of that film is Jake Gyllenhaal's fifty-foot face leering at me.

Why does the dying baby refer to itself in the past tense? Surely it's not dead as it speaks and maybe for a good couple of microseconds after that too. What a drama queen!

The bigger decision is center or aisle. If you pick center, you're gambling that you wont have to bolt mid-flick either because of your bladder or because you accidentally walked into a Michael Bay double feature. Choose aisle and you'll be trampled by other people who fit those 2 scenarios.

I must just denote that I am enjoying the "Focused Nonsense." I has in no way taken away from the enjoyment of the strip. Actually I think it is a bonus because it allows more freedom to express your encyclopedic comedic ideas. Such as I mean not having to toss out jokes that simply won't fit in a single strip.

    Good work as always.

I always pick a row somewhere in the middle, in front of and behind unoccupied seats. That way, I don't get stuck:

    A) With a stuck neck from having to stare straight up at the screen

    B) In with a bunch of obnoxious back-row people who think that being in the back is an excuse to be loud

    C) In front of a seat-kicker

or D) Behind some buffalo of a person who blocks my view of the movie.

Also, I always sit in the middle of the row, towards one end. Not quite to the aisle, but several seats away from it. Still not in the exact middle, though. That way, I don't get people pushing past me to get to the other side (when really they could've just gone around,) and I can still make a quick escape if the movie is crappy.

I also live near a cinema like Fuddlebob's. All I can say is that it's the best theater design ever.

Panel 2 really threw me off and doesn't tie in very well with the rest of the strip.

My kids love the front row for some weird reason and I refuse to sit there.

Also another good reason to get to a movie early – so you can pick your seat and all the good ones aren't taken yet!

The second panel is trying to make a joke that it'd be easier for him to decide which kid he wants to save than decide where to sit

The second panel is a reference to the films "Sophie's choice" and "The good son". so yeah, movie related.

I've always preferred the middle of the last row, myself. One thing I really like about (most of) the movie theatres in Norway is that they work by assigned seating instead of a gladiatorial free-for-all. I can buy my ticket online a few days in advance and stake claim to the best seat.
