However, before joining the military (That's right, I'm sharing a life story with you all.) I worked at a computer help desk. One morning I didn't want to go to work (like Office Space!) and I had my roommate tell me what to say in an e-mail entitled, "I Quit." It included phrases such as, "Wherever the wind takes me." and "Justification is self realization." It was complete garbage, but it made my roommate belly laugh which was good enough for me and sent it off to my then boss.
The bad thing was I lived in a really small town and I'd bump into my now ex-boss about every two weeks.
Boss: "Oh Hi, James…"
Me: "Hey." *polite smile*
Manager: "…."
And I'd just keep on walking with a cringed face whispering to myself, "Stupid, stupid. I'm so stupid!!!!"
So yes, burning bridges is fun.. But if you're not careful you can get a little toasty as well! Heh.
I just love your comic! Since I found it due to Cyanide And Happiness I am reading through it and I liked almost every one up to now (and I look forward to reading the rest of it^^)
LOL Love this! I’ll still give my 2 weeks notice, but uniquely, I have a job where it takes at least a year or two to train adequately so they’ll feel the stress!

Where I live, if you do not give two weeks notice, then they do not have to give you your last two weeks pay.

I superglued all the drawers shut on my boss’ desk as my notice.
Just waited until I knew my boss had a shedload of crappy jobs for me coming up. Put my notice in and let him deal with them.
