I think you mean YOUR Performance. Not our.

Nope. I refer to “us” in the previous panel.

Oh. Well the rest of the panels refer to the reader instead of all of us.

I threw up when calling in sick. Added authenticity.
Same when asking a teacher if I could go to the restroom, or maybe nurse’s office. Or both.

    It was super effective.

Back in like sixth grade, my classmate, cheeks bulging, calmly raised his hand and waited patiently for about 30 seconds before the teacher finished her sentence and called on him. When she did, he set his hand down, and a tiny trickle of vomit leaked out the corner of his mouth. She screamed, then sent him on his way. XD

      Huh!?
Depending on where you are bleeding from I won’t send you anywhere – I would call for an exorcism!

When I get sick yet still dial into conferences they always ask who it is because my voice sounds so different. One time they said it sounded more “manly”. Talk about feeling insulted!

I’ve been hit on while sick because the sore throat gave me a “Barry White” voice.

In my case, I throw in a bit of Kathleen Turner. I hate it when I call in sick yet my voice doesn’t match my condition LOL

I always seem to have the bad luck of getting sick on a Saturday. By the time Monday rolls around, I’m all better.

How is that bad? Not missing school means you don’t have to race to make up the work you missed.

At first I was all like, “20? Man, you’re old.” And, then I did the math… HOLY CRAP! I HAVE BEEN OUT OF SCHOOL FOR 20 YEARS!

Where do the years go? I want them back!

My co-workers usually do prep work the day before they call out. Lethargy, coughing, a bit of soft groaning if they feel they aren’t getting the appropriate amount of sympathy.

Can anyone explain the Laurence Oliver reference?

Laurence Olivier, 1907-1989, is considered by some to be the finest English actor of all time. So the reference was a highest possible compliment to Bug’s acting ability.

Who do YOU call in when you’re sick? Leave yourself a voicemail? “Sorry self, can’t come in to work today. Enjoy lounging around the house and idly browsing the interwebs.”

You actually found someone who hired you? Really?

I always imagined you more as a free spirit.
