The name of boxers is actually derived from their use in boxING. They’re designed to be relatively loose and breatheable so your “elephant’s trunk” doesn’t sweat any more than the rest of your body. The adrenaline usually stops a boxer from nitpicking about the sway.
That said, Phineas looks like the kind of guy who would design something based on its look rather than it’s function, which lines up with your reason for wearing them.
