Yeah, because honestly, how much of a threat can a corpse be? Don’t give me that ‘strength in numbers stuff”, people are already trying to kill zombies and they don’t even exist (yet?).

Don’t you remember the rule of mortal fear? No matter how fast you run, and no matter how slowly whatever is chasing you shuffles, it will find a way to get ahead of you and jump out to surprise you.

I’m pretty sure that there will be more deaths caused by living people than recently-undead zombies. People freak the heck out for even minor disasters, never mind the apocalypse so many have been preparing for.

It’s when the zombies develop an immunity to the head shot… Then we gotta worry.

That’s when you break out the chainsaws and katanas! Axes in a pinch, or when you run out of gas and oil for the chainsaws.

Well politicians are already a definitive lack of sustenance to zombies so if one was turned then head shots would be ineffective. Now blasting off their nether regions is a whole nother story.

What I want to know is where you’d get the brains to bait the traps? Would they fall for a substitute?

Politicians – they don’t use em anyways.

I liked the brain bait in the zombie trap. Nice touch, Adam!

Some shows/games have tried to tackle this, fast zombies, smart zombies, animal zombies, spitting zombies. zombies that inexplicably become the hulk, zombies that ARE the hulk…

Makes you want to go get bitten just for the super powers.

…and maybe that’s the greatest mutation of all o: The bastards!

By that point they’re not really zombies anymore. There’s only so much you can change before something stops being what it originally was and becomes something else instead. Fast zombies are pushing it already. Animal zombies depends on why the zombies are around. The rest of those are not “zombies” just “monsters”, no matter what the source calls them.

I’m hoping for the Bogleech scenario, where the zombies turn out to be completely unlike what movies and TV have portrayed, just to see the look on the zombie obsessors’ faces when their methods prove ineffective.

Provided you survive that scenario long enough to see the looks on the obsessors’ faces 😉

Particularly creepy zombie idea: Zombies reanimated by some sort of fungus that taps into the nervous system. The replacement “brain”, the main fungus cluster, can be almost anywhere in the body. Yes, it’s commonly somewhere in the skull, but it can also be in the chest or abdomen. Headshots work only about 60% of the time, and you can’t tell if it’ll work unless you try. Also, a headshot won’t always hit the nerve cluster even if it is somewhere in the skull.
Basically you have to just hope you can chop them up without being bitten, scratched, or sneezed on. You do NOT want the spores on you.

Or, that you have to destroy every bit of mush in the skull.
A quick stab through the eye socket with a screwdriver won’t do it.

You’ve seen how mushy, yet sticky, fungii can be.

Was it Patton Oswolt or Colin Mochrie that said “howis it that I can barely open a bag of chips, but that as a zombie I can rip someone’s chest cavity open?”

love the broom defence, considering the slow zombie trope it is the most effective method I have seen yet
