Adam, no kidding, you’re wired very strangely. I like that in a cartoonist.
But I’m not sure you should be allowed near small children without close supervision.
I find it funny that you posted this on my 19th birthday.
Happy Birthday! no stone throwing, ok?
But puns will always hurt him.
I love those ‘ta-da!’ arms on the newborn in the first panel :
Didn’t notice the “ta-da!” arms until you pointed it out. Excellent!
Also, I like the mom bug’s little feet being in the stirrups.
It’s these little details that make this strip. Well, that and the wacky direction the humor often goes . . .
And I missed the stirrups at first. Yep, Adam nails the details!
You’re a GENIUS
Oh God that’s a good one.
My daughter would have decimated cities for her Binky.
Just noticed the title, very good Adam!
Thanks! I was pretty proud of that one.
As a non Christian it’s always strike me as weird that they consider newborns already sinned and need to be “cleansed” in holy water. So non Christian babies are allowed to cast the first stone?
I’ve always found that odd as well, since only people with a beliefstructure that includes sin is able to sin and given that the carpenter lived in roman times it should have been _plenty_ of people around with no sin.
Not to mention just how much of a mess it would have caused if someone would have asked christ to be absolved (either this person would be able to cast the stone, or he would go down in history as the one person jesus refused to absolve
Ha! You just reminded me of that College Humor video where the guy asks Jesus to “Save him” – by helping him build some cabinets. 😀
Catholic. Protestants don’t do that.
It’s a bit more insidious than that! Tell someone they are inherently flawed and that they need to follow your advice to be saved from themself, and you own them :P.
* convince, not tell
Zach Weiner (of SMBC) has a theory on infantapulting, part of the Festival of Bad Ad Hoc Hypotheses (Bahfest). You can see it explained on Bahfest’s youtube channel.
I prefer to think of it as part of the curse that God put on mankind following the Eden incident. (Side note: Have you ever noticed that Adam was the first person in history to blame somebody else for his actions?)
