So, I’m sorry because this kind of makes Panel 3 worse, but if you can squee so hard you break a bone in the process, your excitement is pretty macho.

In more empathetic matters, I deeply relate to this because I very nearly broke my arm a couple weeks ago by slipping on ice outside a gaming store… in an effort to click my heels together in excitement.

FWIW, I too liked Billy Zane’s The Phantom and really wished they’d franchised it because it had so much potential.

Other than the head honcho of the evil doers and his demise being over the top, I really thought the movie did more than an adequate job of capturing the Phantom’s humor and the essence of the 1930s comic strip.

One the one hand: get well soon! On the other hand: ooh, schadenfreude comics!

I see people walking around carrying babies and it terrifies me. I know they’re being careful, and that it’s unavoidable, and that people have always done this. But what if they slip?!?

My dog had the same reaction. It took him 6 months for him to trust me to hold my first child.

Billy Zane should also have been Lex Luthor.

I once broke a rib waking up. My dog (a Belgian shepherd) jumped on a floating rib, resulting in it and my spine making contact.

I also once got crushed on an SCA battlefield. I charged 20 armed, angry warriors, and lost. When asked to describe what happened I responded “I got squished.”

I was once jumping up and down in glee because I won concert tickets, landed wrong and twisted my ankle. Ouch.

I do appreciate the sneezing above the falling on the baby-related item… but couldn’t that have been higher?

I once cracked a rib when my then 4-yr-old daughter jumped onto my lap and her elbow was slightly out. Kids are dangerous.

I once sneezed, hiccuped, and coughed all at the same time. That was an embarassing way to crack a rib. Ow.
