Do more BugArt in future strips. Comedy gold.

(Who has no arms and legs and hangs on the wall? Art. Who’s his dad? Pop Art.)

Speaking as a keeper of fish, (I currently curate 4 tanks)
I disagree. If one maintains their tanks properly and does the proper prep work for the fish, your fish will live long healthy lives. However I can say this with authority.. FISH are expensive pets to keep. Ive spent easily 500 bucks just this year on them.

BUT… they are still just living decoration. At least I can’t imagine how to play with them etc.
You feed them and you watch them. Anything I miss here? (genuinely interested, since I never had fish)

Some of my old fish would swim up and brush themselves up against my finger if I put it in their tank.

And maybe this is just confirmation bias on my part, but I could swear that on one or two occasions where I was feeling upset they’d swim right up against the glass to try and comfort me.

I’d say fish are kind of like a very old dog/cat that’s too weary to play with toys much these days: They might not be up for much physical activity, but their presence is reassuring all the same.

Fish are food, not friends…or pets.

To be fair, a fish can move around, whereas art is static. That’s gotta count for something, right?

    …oh wait. Lava lamps exist.
